Crocheting

I've been learning to crochet since Easter when I found this book in my Easter Basket. It's been easy and fun. I couldn't quite get the hang of knitting so I tried crocheting and it's a lot easier.

It's really easy to follow the directions and the kit comes with everything you need.

My first try at it!
I hope to make a flower some time.

Tooth Pick Dolls

After making the leaf dolls, I was inspired to make some dolls that are not perishable. I wanted to use fabric and yarn this time.

I stuck the dolls in a block of styrofoam and they stay nicely.

Leaf Dolls

These nice leaf dolls are the product of sticks and weeds. I chose a rather long and thin stick and took a leaf and wrapped it around the stick to make a dress. I tied it with a piece of grass that double as arms. I put a clover leaf on the end for a head. Some of them looked like they had faces and hair. I even cut some fringe into one of them.

I started with a toothpick and needed to find another stick to make some friends.
This is my Leatherman- a very handy tool for doll making!

A finished family!

I enjoyed making these because I like nature and I like to craft and they go together well in this project!

Birthday Treasures!

I got some really awesome things for my birthday. I received some sewn items, some items for me to sew, and some other crafty items.

This is a bustle skirt with plenty of ruffles. I like to wear it. A lot!
These are some very fun paper dolls that have very pretty fashions to wear. They even have hats and boots. I'll post more on these soon.
I love this embroidered sewing machine and it has my favorite colors in it!
This is a pattern for a cool apron. I think this apron would be fun to wear but not cook in- because who would want to get it dirty?
A hand made, water color card- I want to make some myself.
This pretty dress is being worn by Samantha. It has a scarf and a bag to go with it.
I had a great birthday this year. Thanks everyone!
